We are foodies, and proud of it.

With thousands of cafes and restaurants in Brisbane, good food are a MUST in all Brisbane people’s life.

Below is a list for our favourite Brisbane based restaurants and cafes (not ranked, just numbered for easier sorting!)

  1. Corner Store Café

“List of awesome restaurant/café” simply cannot start listing without starting off with the awesome Corner Store Café.

The Toowong based high quality café have been highly recommended by several major publications since 2012. From their impeccable café design to mouth-watering meals, their standard sure are amongst the pioneer in the Brisbane coffee scene.

In a restored Federation cottage, this power house provided a range of organic veggies (from their kitchen garden, FRESH FOOD FOR EVERYBODY). Not only that, their coffee is also a magical wonder, from scent to palette to aftertaste. Hot chocolates, chai, teas—you name it, they serve it. The wafting scent of food and coffee in their café will lure you to stay (and you’ll never want to leave).

Opening from 7am to 3pm seven days a week, there is no excuse to miss out on their goodness. Hint: they are also taking online booking from groups of five onwards, even on Valentine’s day, so book ahead and bring your loved one in for a treat!

  1. Chit-Chat Bite and Beer

The heat wave will soon hit after the stormy-season end—and we all need a place to grab some ice cold beer. Located at West End, Chit-Chat Bite and Beer is a heaven for all foodies and beer lover (*cough* like me *cough*) for sure!

From bottled to tap, paired with great coffee, fish and chips, and Boba tea—this place has it ALL. The staffs are also lovely and wonderful people, always serving with a smile, and more than willing to have a good chat. This is truly a homely and joy-filed place, packed with a group of bubbly crew.

Opening from 7am to 3pm Sunday to Thursday and 7am to 8pm Friday and Saturday (do comment below if you are visiting this weekend evening, cause I’ll definitely be there), do drop by a visit the next time you’re in town. They are, guaranteed, a lovely little hut packed with wonder-filled food (and beer).

  1. The Rustic Olive

Growing up with pastas and lasagnes, I have grown an attachment to Italian food since young. Especially after studying abroad and the home-sickness kicks in, the craving for cheesy Bolognese digs in every night fall. Intended to find the taste of home, my search for good Bolognese begin. The Rustic Olive, an exquisite Italian restaurant, hit close to home.

The elegant setting and presentation was perfect for a dinner for two (hint hint), and the meal served was absolutely heart-warming—exquisite, but never losing the touch of homely taste all throughout. The BYO part is also a BIG plus!

Opening from 11am to 2:30pm for Tuesday to Saturday lunch (11am to 3pm for Sunday lunch), 5pm to 9pm Tuesday to Sunday dinner; 10am till late for coffee and cake daily, excluding Monday. Grab a date* and/or a good bottle of wine, and visit this pasta heaven. You’re in for a treat, Amore.
